Which Skin Care Anti Wrinkle Cream Is The Best

wrinkle cream
Guest Author: Jonathan Higgins

Asking which skin care anti wrinkle cream is the best is a loaded question. The reason is that there are several other factors that are determining the health and beauty of your skin. You can have two identical people with the same skin issues using the best wrinkle creams and will likely see different results. One smokes and the other doesn’t. One eats a lot of sugar and sugary foods and the other doesn’t. One exercises and the other doesn’t. One eats more fresh and raw fruits and vegetables and the other doesn’t. You will see huge disparities in the results due to these other factors.

What skin care anti cream you use is not going to matter if you are living a poor lifestyle. For example, aging happens and wrinkles set in when cells decay and die. Increased oxidation speeds up the aging process while the opposite can slow down and perhaps even reverse the aging process. Processed foods contain additives and chemicals that are toxic to your body and speeds up aging. Fresh fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which slow down and halt the oxidation of cells, thereby halting the aging process. So you could be using all the best wrinkle creams and the finest skin care anti wrinkle cream on the market and won’t mean anything until you make any required changes in your lifestyle. I would even go as far to say that living a poor lifestyle will make it impossible for the best wrinkles creams to work their magic on your skin.

What Skin Care Anti Wrinkle Cream Is the Best Of The Wrinkle Creams?

The answer is simple. The wrinkle cream with the most antioxidants and the least amount of chemical additives is the best of the wrinkle creams. A recent study revealed that on average women absorb 5 pounds of toxic chemicals into their body from the skin products they use. As far as I know, the Athena 7 minute lift is the best around. See my review of it on my site. It utilizes natural plant oils rather than chemicals created in a lab.

However, if you are really concerned about wrinkles, you shouldn’t be just looking for the best wrinkle creams. Not any skin care anti wrinkle cream will be able to do half the work it is capable of if you are living a poor lifestyle. On the other hand, a health anti aging lifestyle with a good diet, exercise and no smoking can actually reverse the aging process to some extent. You’ll be able to put off using skin care anti wrinkle cream for another decade or two.

Learn the Truth About Anti Wrinkle Cream Reviews

wrinkle cream
Guest Author: Laurel Levine

Depending on anti wrinkle cream reviews as a way of gauging the overall effectiveness of the product is not the best of ideas. The people whose opinions are represented for the most part are not particularly qualified to judge and compare anti aging wrinkle cream. They know that they either like them or not, but really can’t explain why.

If you don’t know about the individual ingredients involved or how those compounds interact in order to produce the desired cosmetic effect then you are really not qualified to conduct anti wrinkle cream reviews. They also probably don’t have an understanding of how the ingredients may interact with the individuals own chemistry in order to produce a desired effect.

Case in point, while reading just the other day an article meant to compare anti aging wrinkle cream, the consumer complained of itching, redness and irritation from a particular products use. Deeming the product ‘dangerous’ the reviewer trounced the product. The only thing wrong with making a statement about the safety of a product is that while one person may have had an adverse reaction, others may do just fine.

The consumer never took into consideration that they may have simply had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in the product. Many skin care products contain compounds which are known allergens such as alcohols, mineral oil, paraffin and parabens. If that particular consumer had an allergic reaction, it was a personal experience, and the product may not affect another negatively.

It is my opinion that the only people who should ever be allowed to conduct anti wrinkle cream reviews are professionals with some background in the sciences. I am not talking about the actor in the lab coat on a company’s infomercial exclaiming the wonders of the product. I’m talking about testers from an independent laboratory who could compare anti aging wrinkle cream in both a knowledgeable and unbiased way.

Never take any anti wrinkle cream reviews orchestrated by the manufactures of the selected product at face value, because all you’re getting is company propaganda. These usually involve the throwing around of well known skin care terms such as collagen as a way to convince those who really don’t understand what their hearing that a product is good.

Collagen, when derived from outside of the body is dangerous at best. The form used most is actually taken from cow hide, and it can produce such a strong allergic reaction in humans that allergy testing is required before injection treatments can begin. The topical version of collagen can be obtained without testing (although I don’t know why), but this version is totally useless as collagen cannot be absorbed through the skin.

A better bet if you were to compare anti aging wrinkle cream would be to select a product that uses keratin instead of collagen. A company in New Zealand has developed just such a product by deriving the keratin blend from the wool of a certain sheep. The use of the keratin stimulates the safe, natural production of collagen and new skin cells.

Remember to do your research before you buy, look for all natural ingredients, and take everything you read in anti wrinkle cream reviews with a grain of salt.

Are Home Remedies Better Than The Best Wrinkle Creams?

wrinkle cream
Guest Author: Sabrina James

In a day and age when everyone is looking to smoothing out wrinkles, people are also looking to save money.  All you need to do is search on the internet for home wrinkle remedies and you will find a list of ideas or tips.  We are also a society of instant gratification, so the question remains, are home wrinkle remedies enough to satisfy the average consumer?

Everyone would like to see results from the very start of any product that we purchase.  If we want a gourmet coffee, we go to the drive through to save time.  If we need a meal, we hit a fast food restaurant.  We are constantly looking for the next get rich quick scheme, and have very little patience for anything that takes time and hard work.  So when I hear of people looking for a home remedy for wrinkles, I am always surprised.

Home remedies are great in concept.  They open your eyes to certain ingredients usually found around the home that may have some moisturizing, or lifting aspect to them and they counsel you to use it to solve your wrinkle problem.  Sure you can rub eggs or sour cream all over your face and it may eventually have an effect, but if you are looking to eliminate wrinkles for real, this may not be the best approach.  Perhaps if you did this twice a day, every single day for the next five years you may see the same amount of results as you do by using a top notch, medical grade wrinkle cream in only sixty days.

People choose to use home remedies in an effort to save the money of buying comparatively expensive wrinkle cream.  But think about how much you would spend on continuously buying those ingredients to keep them in your home if you used them everyday.  And for how long would you have to use them to see the same level of results.  Clearly, in the long run, it is much cheaper to purchase the wrinkle cream.  And you will be happy with the results that you get, in the time frame that you want them.

The truth of the matter is, your desire for results and lack of consistent focus makes purchasing a wrinkle cream the only real solution to fighting the signs of aging.  In just a portion of the time consumers receive over a thousand times more results than you ever would from a home remedy.  Keep in mind that results on wrinkles are measure in minute increments.  Under a microscope the length and depth of wrinkles are measured to be considered an effective wrinkle fighting cream.  And these creams have medical grade ingredients, not some natural, less concentrated ones.

As much as consumers would love to believe that they can get the same results at home as they can from powerful wrinkle fighting creams, studies show that they do expect less from the home remedies.  These studies show that women over 40 understand that buy using the home remedy they are less likely to see the results that they expect, but use the remedy in addition the wrinkle creams that they purchase, not as a substitute.

This thought process is clearly the best and probably the most effective one to battle the signs of aging.  By supplementing the home remedy in addition to the purchased wrinkle cream, consumers get the best of both worlds.  The natural ingredients and the more concentrated ones can combine in synergy to leave your skin looking softer and smoother.

It is not just our societal norms that make home remedies a poor option to fighting wrinkles, it is that science has made tremendous growth in the anti aging industry.  Creams are created today that eliminate wrinkles 60-70% better than the best wrinkle cream made just two years ago.  And if results are what you are looking for, then a wrinkle cream is the best option.  Save home remedies for treating skin prior to the aging process and for those who are extremely patient and dedicated.

Wrinkle Cream Eye Review – Does Any Wrinkle Cream Really Work?

wrinkle cream
Guest Author: Margaret Bell

You will find this brief wrinkle cream eye review more helpful than some of the others.  Instead of telling you how this or that under eye wrinkle cream worked for me.  Let me tell you about some that you should avoid due to hazardous ingredients.

Avon Wrinkle Cream Eye Review

Cosmetic companies include lots of hazardous ingredients in their creams and lotions.  Because the skin beneath the eyes is extremely delicate and thinner than other portions of the face, you should never buy under eye wrinkle cream that contains known irritants or allergens.

It is also important because the creams are to be used so close to the eyes and are likely to get in to the eyes.  The Avon product contains six different ingredients that are known to irritate the skin and eyes, as well as methyl-paraben which is prone to cause allergic reactions.

But, worse still, they include an anti-caking agent called Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, a compound that is known to be toxic to the human nervous system.

Jack Black Wrinkle Cream Eye Review

As far as hazardous ingredients are concerned, Jack decided to include most of them in his under eye wrinkle cream.  Maybe, he thought that “tough guys” could handle it.

Out of 31 different ingredients, only four of them are non-hazardous.  The worst one is an emulsifier known as PEG-8 STEARATE, a known skin irritant that is toxic to human organs.

Klein-Becker Wrinkle Cream Eye Review

You can tell by the warnings on the package that this product is known to irritate the skin and cause allergic reactions.  They advise you to test it on a small area of the forearm before use.  In all honesty, you should avoid the use of creams and lotions with warning labels like this.  Allergic reactions can send you to the dermatologist’s office.  They can be severe enough to cause permanent scarring.

The Klein-Becker under eye wrinkle cream contains DMDM HYDANTOIN, a preservative that “can instigate immune system response that can include itching, burning, scaling, hives, and blistering of skin”, according to the National Cosmetic Ingredient Review Assessments.

A Safe Wrinkle Cream

You can find safe and effective under eye wrinkle cream, if you know what to look for.  You can’t find it by reading consumer reviews.  Even if you don’t have particularly sensitive skin or allergies, why take chances?

Look for preservative and fragrance free products that contain natural plant extracts, honey, coenzyme Q10, vitamin E and honey.  All of these ingredients work together to reduce wrinkles, bags and dark circles under the eyes.

Look for a company that has clinical studies to back up its claims and is a signer of the “Compact for Safe Cosmetics”.  Always, keep safety in mind when you are shopping, especially when it comes to your face and the area around your eyes.  It just makes sense.

Hopefully, this wrinkle cream eye review helped you understand a little bit about the hazards that are found in health and beauty aids.  Knowledge is an important tool for today’s consumer.

Weight Training Program: Fine Tune It For Your Fitness Goals

weight training
Guest Author: Lana Hawkins

The fastest way to build muscle is to have a weight training program that is designed exactly for your goals. If you are trying to build strength then high loads and small reps are best for a strength training routine. To advance your fitness and endurance, use smaller weights and many repetitions. Increasing muscle size is accomplished by using a weight that allows for about 7-12 reps. Know what you want to achieve before you begin a weight training program.

If you are just starting out it may take a gym session to evaluate your starting weights. The point is to be careful at the start so injuries don’t thwart your progress.

Your current fitness level will be a large factor in determining what weight you will start with. You’ll need to be able to just barely complete the repetition target at the weight you’ve chosen. For example, say your goal is to build muscle fast or body build. You have not worked out in decades and it is hard to lift a gallon of milk ten times. Start with fifteen pound weights. Can you make twelve reps easy? If you can’t do more than 5, you will need to choose a smaller weight. You want to totally fatigue your muscle so there’s nothing left at your specified rep count.

This is what happens. Your body is very adaptable and it has its current limits. You can only do what you do. Give your body a challenge and it will adapt. It will not build more muscle if it does not need to. Do more than you do now and you will improve. Your amazing body will adapt quickly and build muscle. It needs more muscle to lift the weight. Your weight training program allows your body to meet the new demands. If you can bump up the weight with your weight training program at a fairly fast pace and you’ll be able to build muscle fast. Do over do it or you will be sitting out and not build muscle at all.

Know your goals to establish the correct weight training program for you. Your weight training strategy will depend on if you want sheer strength, fitness and endurance, or well defined muscles. A weight training program to build muscle fast will have you tanking out after about seven to ten reps. Increase the weight when you can finish the set without fatigue.

Resveratrol and Cancer – The Latest Resveratrol Studies Are Promising

resveratrol
Guest Author: Valerie Rosenbaum

There have been hundreds of studies concerning resveratrol and cancer prevention, as well as treatment. Some researchers believe that it may eventually be developed into a new treatment. Others disagree. The debate is likely to drag on for years, if it is ever resolved. It is not unlike the vitamin C debate.

In the late 1980s, Linus Pauling and Abram Hoffer developed a micronutrient regimen, which included high doses of vitamin C, as complement to conventional treatment. Although it was proven to be successful, the regimen was never adopted by the mainstream medical community. Research concerning the beneficial role that high doses of intravenous vitamin C play in the treatment and outcome of surviving the disease is still ongoing, nearly 20 years later.

Extremists say that research concerning natural cures and preventative measures has been covered up by the pharmaceutical companies and even doctors. One controversial naturalist states that doctors have no interest in making us well. It would hurt their business.

Regardless of where you stand on this issue, it is safe to say that the research concerning resveratrol and cancer prevention, if not treatment, is promising. Researchers say that it interferes with all stages of the disease, from initiation to progression. Other research has focused on the benefit to the heart. The supplement has been shown to prolong the life of heart cells.

In various studies, it has been shown to extend the lifespan of short-lived worms, fruit flies and fish. In animals fed a high fat diet, it has been shown to reduce the damaging effects that the fat has on the heart and other cells of the body, reducing the risk of heart disease to that of animals eating a normal, low-fat diet.

Like the resveratrol and cancer studies, this is all referred to as “preliminary” research. The effect that a nutrient or other compound has on a cell or even an animal model cannot always be duplicated in humans. Some research indicates that supplementation would not be beneficial, because the nutrient does not enter the bloodstream. But, to include it in a totally balanced vitamin, mineral and micro-nutrient supplement definitely couldn’t hurt.

Many nutrients are changed significantly by stomach acid. If they can get past the stomach and into the upper intestine, they can pass through the intestinal wall and enter the bloodstream. The best supplements have an enteric coating, which protects these nutrients from being changed and degraded by stomach acid.

Besides the studies concerning resveratrol and cancer, there have been many other interesting ones, of late. Curcumin, green tea, grape seed and other extracts show promise.

Nearly thirty years ago, Linus Pauling told us that we could live longer and feel better, if only we would increase our daily nutritional intake. His ideas concerning supplementation were controversial, but he was a Nobel Prize winning chemist and, over the course of his life, the winner of dozens of science awards and honors.

Now that you know a little more about where research stands concerning resveratrol and cancer, you might want to learn how to choose an excellent nutritional supplement. It might be the best thing that you ever do for your health.

History of Yoga- an Overview

yoga
Guest Author: Jay Franco

The history of yoga is believed to be as old as civilization. The prehistoric roots and its gradual evolution and development are testimony to this fact. Ancient yoga derived from Indian asceticism to uniting in the “cosmic one.” Yoga history could be traced in the Upanishads, Vedas and even in Brahmanas. The yoga history was also illustrated in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

How yoga derived its name?

The history of yoga is recorded in our scriptures and it’s continuously evolving in recent times. Though yoga has evolved with changes in techniques and methods but the essence and goal remains the same. The word yoga derived from Sanskrit word “Yuj”, meaning to “unite”.

History of yoga in Indus valley civilization-

The archeological excavations of ancient civilization shows that even before 3000 BC yoga had evolved. The artifacts and the “Yogi glyptic” are testimony to the fact. The various yoga postured relic’s depicts, some of the noteworthy yoga postures in them.

History of yoga in Vedic period –

With evolution of Vedas the foundation of Hinduism was laid. The Vedas hold the ancient yogic teachings and hence is known as Vedic yoga. While some vague references of history of yoga could be found in the Vedas but practices could be found in the Brahmanas. The Rig Veda mentions yoga’s practice as yoga was essential with Vedic ritual. This dates back to 900 BC.

History of yoga in the Upanishads-

This period is also knows as pre-classical yoga period. The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad makes the reference of yoga meditation and is clearly reflected in 900 BC to 400 BC. The Mahabharata and the Bhagavad-Gita (oldest Yoga scripture) shows the yoga history in 500 BC and 200 BC resp. Even in Buddhism, the importance of yoga meditation and various yoga postures have been mentioned.

History of yoga in the Patanjali “Yoga Sutra’s”-

This period is also known as the Classical period of yoga. The main attempt of Patanjali was to define and normalize classical yoga form and is known as Patanjali eight fold path of yoga (Eight Limbs of Classical Yoga).

Post classical yoga-

Numerous sovereign yoga schools were developed during this period after the Yoga sutra period, hence the name Post classical yoga. The human body became filed of study along with the meditation which was missing is the previous years. A new system with numerous yoga exercises was developed. And thus Hatha yoga, Raj yoga and other branches emerged.

Modern yoga and its history-

The Chicago summit and the famous lecture of Swami Vivekananda became a turning point with the introduction of Yoga to the Western world. Thus various yoga schools emerged and more and more people learnt this yogic form of exercise.

Yoga today in modern world-

Yoga has gained immense popularity in recent years. Yoga has become a health movement. The westerner’s views and spirituality has changed a lot. Yoga’s has become a mandatory fitness regime. Yoga has evolved into more modern form like power yoga or Zen yoga.

Yoga has revealed through its long history. The vast oceans of Yogic literature and the motivation and drive makes all follow the true Yogic path.

Bodyweight Calisthenics: Give Your “Cardio” A Kick In The Pants

cardio
Guest Author: Eddie Lomax

If you are one of the people who believe steady-state aerobic exercise is the only way to improve cardiorespiratory endurance and burn fat, you’re in for a treat. Bodyweight calisthenics are an excellent way to get a full body workout that includes the heart and lungs. I’ll show you how to use bodyweight exercise in a second, but first let’s talk a little about cardiorespiratory endurance.

Cardiorespiratory endurance is the level of ability your body has to gather, process, deliver and sustain oxygen to produce energy for use in physical activity. Basically, the respiratory system gathers and starts to process the oxygen. The cardiovascular system continues to process and distributes the oxygen. So, your cardiorespiratory endurance is the level of efficiency your heart and lungs have to sustain and deliver oxygen for energy.

So, when most people want to improve their endurance they do cardiorespiratory conditioning exercises (cardio) to improve endurance by “conditioning” the heart and lungs. Unfortunately, the form of cardiorespiratory conditioning usually takes the form of aerobic exercise. And bodyweight calisthenics are completely ignored! But the fact is, any activity can improve cardiorespiratory endurance if they are done properly, and bodyweight exercises and calisthenics are an excellent choice.

There is something important I should mention. The type of cardio conditioning you do improves over-all endurance. But, the increased endurance is most closely related to the activity used. This means if you ride an exercise bike, your cardiorespiratory endurance will primarily be improved for bike riding. This is fine if you ride a bike in your normal, everyday life. But this has limited application for most people who are involved in a wide variety of activities both in and out of the gym.

If, on the other hand, you use bodyweight calisthenics for your cardio conditioning, you are using a wide variety of movements and muscles. Bodyweight exercises and calisthenics more closely represent the movements of highly random movements encountered in sport, work and life. So, you could make a case that cardiorespiratory conditioning using bodyweight calisthenics is better for endurance improvement that can be used in and out of the gym.

Plus, bodyweight calisthenics use all the muscles in your body. Compare this to the predominately lower body exercises of jogging or riding a bike. So, using bodyweight exercises allow you to build a strong, lean physique while improving cardiorespiratory endurance and burning fat!

Just think about it. Let’s say you do a fast paced bodyweight workout consisting of a circuit of bodyweight exercises and calisthenics. You’ll simultaneously build strong muscles and burn fat while improving heart and lung function. You wouldn’t even have to do a long, slow aerobic workout to supplement your training.

I hope this article has opened you eyes to the wide variety of possibilities available to improve cardiorespiratory endurance. You don’t always have to do long-slow aerobic exercise. And the truth is, using other forms of training to simultaneously improve heart and lung power can prepare you better for the challenges of sport, work and life. Bodyweight calisthenics are an excellent choice for both building a strong, lean, athletic physique and building a strong heart and lungs.

Weight Training for Sports

weight training
Guest Author: Kyle Oxenham

Weight training is vital to your sports performance, because if you are matched with someone in skill, then it will take speed, power, and strength to defeat your opponent on the court, field or in the ring.

Some athletes even coaches and trainers get confused with the deference between, bodybuilding or muscle building vs. weight training for strength and power for specific sports.

For example having huge muscular legs does NOT mean you can jump very high, or run very fast; increased jumping ability comes from being able to lift with speed.

If the weight continues to increase and the speed stays the same, power and vertical jumping ability will increase only if you maintain your body weight.

When using weight lifting for sports the main goal is to improve and strengthen movements in your sport.

For example: If you want to run faster or jump higher, you need to perform compound exercises under resistance to mimic the same movement.

So if you do dead lifts, squats, power cleans,

snatches, clean and jerk, vertical jumps, depth jumps, lunges, calve raises, you will help target and strengthen the jumping muscles in you legs and some in your upper body.

Also when doing the specific movement or exercise don’t go past to point where the speed and power of the lift is reduced, wait till you are fully rested, and increase the weight and do the same, on your last set you can do multiple sets with minimal rest in between with the heaviest weight for at least 3-5 reps, or do an all out total reps for more muscles growth and absolute power or strength.

Next time you do these exercises try for an extra rep or 2 on you all out max set(s) or multiple power sets.

Record your workouts for total weight lifted and the amount of time you take to rest and complete a series of exercises or sets.

Specific Compound Exercises for Sports in General:

1. Bench Press: You may think this exercise targets only the chest, but when done correctly should be using you whole body to help stabilize and lift the weight, this includes feet position, should position, is your back arched or not?, and your elbow alignment, as well as grip placement, and path of your movement, and if you are bringing the bar to you nipple line or not, all these small things can make the difference of you benching 300lbs or not.

2. Squat: Again the squat targets most of your body, not just your legs. There are many variations of the squat.

For example, there is the traditional low or high squats, hack squats or 1/4 squats, scissor squats, sumo squats, squats with the weight extended above your head with increase you back strength and power, but use less weight to start.

NOTE: Technique is also vital to increased power and strength to the reach the very max!
